SOPHIA KOSMAOGLOU

Sophia Kosmaoglou was born in Johanesbourg in 1969 but lives and works in Athens, Greece. She has participated in Insignificance ( The Agency, London), Take OFF (Galerie Krizinger, Austria), in Greek Realities (touring exhibition in Odense Berlin and in the 5th International Instanbul Biennial, curated by Rosa Martinez. Her work which brings together elements of popular culture with high art, is often inspired from different art forms (drama, literature) in order to make very sharp observations on everyday life and on human relationships.
